About Me
Hi there, I'm Tina, owner and photographer for CS Photography. I found my passion for taking photos very early in life. Starting in middle school, I sought out photography programs which taught me the basics of using a 35mm camera and developing my own film and images. Over the years I have continued my education in photography, keeping up with new technology and trends.
I've always thought of myself as an artist. For a long time I expressed my art through crafting projects at home and professionally became a hairstylist in 2005. I have worked as a stylist since then, continuing to pursue my love for the arts through the beauty industry. Fast forward several decades, a relocation to New Jersey, and becoming a mom, I started CS Photography. Specializing in family photography, CS Photography has been providing photo sessions all over Morris county New Jersey since 2016.
When I'm not working, you can find me spending lots of time with my family usually doing something outdoors. I love to be in the woods, on a lake or anywhere in my kayak.
My photography philosophy
I am a mom of two small children and I know first hand how hard photos can be with little ones. As much as posed pictures are pretty, it's not always possible with young kids. The way I work is fluid; if a child is upset, I won't force them to do something because it will be apparent in the photos, instead, we change things up. Maybe your child has a hard time staying still, in that case, we run, jump and throw leaves. We do poses like piggy back rides and fun family pile ups on the ground. Photo sessions should be fun, let's keep it that way. I personally think candid photos are much more personal because it gives us a reflection of real life.
